We are currently seeking appropriate funding in order to purchase all the necessary Audio, Visual & Web based Equipment needed to successfully set up our podcast project. Until we receive that funding we want to make a start by learning the fundamentals of creative writing including how to produce a low cost blog & how to create a bespoke state of the art website that can both syndicate & Promote Podcasts.
The Project would benefit members who are interested in combining a number of more creative activities rather than more traditional Men`s Shed activities, including learning about all aspects of production & editing systems & techniques which might include Artwork, Audio, Blogging. Broadcasting, Comedy, Computers, Drama, Film making, Music, Photography, Poetry, Production, Script Writing, Song writing, Storytelling, & Vlogging etc.
A podcast:
is a program made available in digital format for download over the Internet. For example, an episodic series of digital audio or video files that a user can download to a personal device to listen to at a time of their choosing.
A blog:
aka "weblog" is a discussion or informational website published on the World Wide Web consisting of discrete, often informal diary-style text entries (posts). Posts are typically displayed in reverse chronological order.
Content syndication:
Is the process of pushing your blogpost, article, video Podcast, or any other piece of web-based content out to other third parties who will then re-publish it on their own sites. Helping us create Brand Awareness for our podcasts.
The working title shall be “Ponty Bothy Podcast” or “Tales from the Bothy” (sorry! we are still working on the title).The aim of the project is to;
Promote the work of Pontypridd Men`s Shed,
Promote the Greater work of Men`s Shed Cymru & U.K. Men`s Shed,
Promote various other Charities, Community Groups & Organisations that are local to the Pontypridd area & share similar ethos,
